Larry D. Leonard
Larry D. Leonard has served on the Tulsa Community College Board of Regents since 2002.
Leonard is the senior partner in the Tulsa firm of Leonard & Rineer, P.C., which is located at 1921 South Boston Ave., Tulsa, OK 74119. He entered the private practice of law in Tulsa in June 1974 and has been in private practice continuously since then. Leonard has practiced with various firms, ranging from two members to 35 members, and he has been a partner or shareholder in all of those affiliations.
He is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma and Kansas Bar Associations, and the American Bar Association. He served as president of the Tulsa County Bar Association (TCBA) in 2003-2004, has served in several TCBA elected offices and on many key TCBA committees, and was honored as the TCBA Outstanding Young Lawyer in 1983. Leonard is a member of the Tulsa Title & Probate Lawyers Association and previously served on the Board of Directors for Oil Capital Community Credit Union and Call Rape.
Leonard obtained his undergraduate education at the University of Kansas receiving his Bachelor of Science in Education in 1971, with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended the University of Kansas Law School and received his Juris Doctorate in 1974. While in law school, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Wyandotte County, Kan. during the summer of his junior/senior year.
Leonard is married to Marcia Scott and has two children who each reside in Lawrence, Kan. His daughter, Laura, obtained her undergraduate degree magna cum laude in 1990, and she is currently obtaining her doctorate in French Literature at the University of Kansas. His son, Michael, graduated from the University of Kansas with an undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1993. Leonard has one grandson, Michael Julian Leonard.
