Re:       Presidential Search Update (Progress Report #3)

On behalf of the Board of Regents, I am pleased to provide an update on the progress of our search for the next president of Tulsa Community College.

The College hosted a series of Open Forums on the 4th and 5th of December, 2013. The Forums were well attended and the discussions were robust and wide-ranging. Thanks to all who attended and offered their input. From the issues and ideas raised at the Forums, and from the feedback we obtained from the earlier Survey, a draft Presidential Profile was created and offered for review and revision to the Search Committee at its first meeting on the 5th of December, 2013. The Presidential Profile appears on the College web site on the new TCC Presidential Search page, http://www.tulsacc.edu/about-tcc/board-regents/presidential-search. There is a wealth of information about TCC and about the search on this web page and we encourage you to visit often for updates.

The College has published an advertisement for the position in the Chronicle of Higher Education and other publications to promote the search. On-line ads in the Chronicle and other national publications continue. Meanwhile, ACCT is conducting one-to-one personal outreach to highly qualified individuals across our state, our region and the nation. The position appears prominently on the ACCT website (www.acctsearches.org) and will be actively promoted by ACCT through electronic media and at national meetings throughout the search.

The Target Date for receipt of applications is February 7, 2014.

Additional updates and announcements about the progress of the presidential search and next steps will be forthcoming as we move through the process.  We want to keep you informed and we value your input. If you have any questions, suggestions, comments or concerns, please contact our ACCT representatives:

Thank you.
