Day of Vision 2013 - Letter to Parents
Dear Parent: October 18, 2013
We would like to invite you and your son and/or daughter to attend a series of free workshops that will be conducted at Tulsa Community College's Northeast Campus on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Our campus is located at 3727 East Apache. Free parking is available on the campus. These workshops are for students who would like information on how to prepare for college, how to finance a college education, and how to develop skills necessary to successfully complete college once admitted. The students can utilize this information at many colleges and universities in our state and country.
Our event, DAY OF VISION, is an award-winning college preparation program that has been nationally recognized for its effectiveness in motivating students to attend college. Our financial aid workshop is very popular with parents because information about grants, scholarships, and our TUITION WAIVER is shared at this event; also information will be shared about TCC’s TULSA ACHIEVES (a program that pays for tuition and fees for eligible students at Tulsa Community College). Enclosed you will find more information about our program, as well as a map of the Northeast Campus.
Please see the Student Workshops part of the enclosed agenda and have your son and/or daughter select two to attend. We’ll ask for this information when you call to RSVP. While students are attending their workshops, there will be special information sessions for parents. The Parent Sessions will allow more time for financial aid questions and answers, as well as information on special support services available for students. Please note on the agenda that registration starts at 8 a.m., and the program starts at 9 a.m. The program concludes with a lunch time session for parents and students and door prize drawings (lunch is provided free of charge).
If you are interested in attending Day of Vision, please RSVP by calling 918/595-7838 or online at www.tulsacc.edu/dayofvision by Thursday, October 31, 2013.
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO R.S.V.P. AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SINCE THIS PROGRAM TENDS TO FILL RATHER QUICKLY. To request an accommodation for a disability or a sign language interpreter, please call 918/595-7838 by Friday, October 25, 2013.
