How to Access TCC's Wireless Network

How to Access TCC's Wireless Network
NOTE: You should log in to the wireless network with the same credentials as our TCC "wired" network. You'll have to log into a hardwired computer that has been added to the TCCNET "Domain" first so that you can change your initial password. By simply logging into a hardwired computer your account will be "registered" and you'll be able to log into the wireless network with your user name and password (see instructions below). Please feel free to access the "TCCGuest" network until you've registered your user name and password on a wired computer.
- Log into a wired computer (see How to Log Into TCC's Network)
- Choose Network
- TCC supports the following networks:
- TCCStudents
- TCCEmployees
- TCCGuest
-
Provide if prompted:
- User name: "firstname_lastname" (without the quotes)
- Password: Same as your "wired" network password
ATTENTION: Since the introduction of Apple's iPad there have been challenges experienced connecting to certain 802.11 standards based Wi-Fi networks. As an emerging technology there is always the potential for unforeseen technical challenges such as this one. We have been in communication with Apple's sales engineers and Meru Networks (our wireless technology manufacturer) and we hope to have a firmware/code update very soon that will address compatibility issues between the two technologies. In the interim users should be able to access TCC's BG WEP Wi-Fi network with their iPad. Simply contact the TCC IT Service Desk at 595-2000 for your WEP key.
