TCC honors its founding president

Family, retirees, mayors, regents and more gathered recently at the Tulsa Community College Center for Creativity to honor the late Dr. Alfred M. Philips—the founding president of TCC. Philips was president of Tulsa Junior College from 1970 to 1989. Read More.

ESL Program: Educating non-English speakers for 20 years

As the population of Tulsa increases in diversity, the need for non-native speakers to learn the English language is also growing. While an increase in diversity is not a direct indication of English speakers and non-English speakers, it does reflect the fact that Tulsa is evolving as a more culturally diverse city. Read More.

TCC student to be recognized in ‘USA Today’ for scholarship win

Tulsa Community College student Brittany Howton has been named a Coca-Cola New Century Scholar, the highest award given to a member of the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team. She will be presented with a $2,000 scholarship and have her name listed for her honor in the April 11 issue of “USA Today.” Read More.
