Conserving Oklahoma is the theme for the 2013 EcoFest Conference and Festival hosted on Tulsa Community College’s Northeast Campus. The event is a one-day conference on March 28 and a one-day festival on March 30 designed to educate the community on green practices and trends and celebrate green living.

The conference features both professionals and students giving presentations on topics of green living.

The festival begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 with free food, live music, exhibits and cooking demonstrations. Experts will give workshops on topics such as edible landscape, seed saving, composting and more. Children’s activities include camel rides, horse-drawn wagon rides and more.

Up With Trees will be at EcoFest again this year to hand out small container trees for planting.
