OpenStax Saves TCC Students Thousands of Dollars in Textbook Costs
An initiative to help Tulsa Community College students with the cost of textbooks expands this semester to reach an estimated 2,500 students. TCC partnered with OpenStax, a Rice University-based nonprofit publisher, in the summer of 2016 to boost the use of free online and low cost textbooks across TCC courses.

Individual tickets are on sale now for Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College’s 2017-2018 “From the Heartland: Tulsa Music Connections” season. This year, the TTCU Pops and Signature Classics series, will be a year-long celebration of music with Tulsa ties.

TCC Northeast Campus Hosts Welcome Back Bash
To help say good-bye to summer and hello to college, the Tulsa Community College Northeast Campus is hosting a Welcome Back Bash 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., Thursday, August 17. The event has free food, music and fun activities. Plus, there will be interactive sessions to explore careers and academic programs and opportunities to meet faculty.

TCC Corrections Education Program Sees Largest Graduation Ceremony
Cody Zimmer is one of 57 individuals at Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy, Oklahoma graduating with a certificate or degree from Tulsa Community College. The commencement ceremony was held on Thursday, July 20 and was the largest group since the TCC Corrections Education program started in 2007 as a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Dick Conner Correctional Center and TCC.
