Beach, Sand and Shakespeare Combine in TCC’s Updated Production of “Two Gentlemen of Verona”
The production of “Two Gentlemen of Verona” by the Tulsa Community College Theatre Department is far removed from your typical Shakespearian play. This modern updated version is more like the 1965 movie, “Beach Blanket Bingo” and takes place on a pier with a beach setting complete with shorts, leis and coconuts. Even the language is updated on this light-hearted comedy where true love ultimately prevails through deception, lust and youthful ignorance.

Signature Symphony at TCC Dances Across the Continents
Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College is “Dancing Across the Continents” with an evening of music from composers Antonín Dvořák, Samuel Ekpe Akpabot, and Adolfo Mejía and dancing from members of the Tulsa Ballet and Tulsa Ballet II. The concert is 7:30 p.m., Nov. 12 at the TCC Southeast Campus VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at 81st Street and Highway 169.

Enrollment is open now for spring 2017 classes at Tulsa Community College. Students should enroll as early as possible to ensure the greatest number of choices in courses and schedules. Classes start Jan. 9, 2017.

TCC Names New Chief Finanical Officer
Tulsa Community College has named Mark McMullen as chief financial officer. His appointment was approved by the TCC Board of Regents during the Oct. 20 board meeting.

Sesame Street Puppet Designer Hosts Workshops at TCC
Emmy-winning puppet, toy, and graphic designer Kip Rathke began his career gluing feathers onto Big Bird for iconic puppet and costume designer Kermit Love. He currently serves as Creative Director at Sesame Workshop, overseeing the design of all Sesame Street licensed toys and experiential entertainment.

Creative Caring for People with Alzheimer’s
Caring for a person with Alzheimer's presents many challenges, but creativity can be a tool to help enhance relationships between patients and caregivers. The Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity at the Tulsa Community College Metro Campus is partnering with the Philbrook Museum and the Alzheimer's Association to present a multidisciplinary project that will explore creativity and Alzheimer’s from different perspectives.
