Fewer Oklahomans will go hungry this holiday season thanks to the more than 2,300 pounds of canned food collected by Tulsa Community College's West Campus chapter of Phi Beta Lambda.

TCC students and faculty spread out across Tulsa and the surrounding communities in October to "trick-or-treat" for nonperishable food items. More than 6,000 items were collected and donated to the Northeastern Oklahoma Food Bank.

Phi Beta Lambda is a national business and career student organization that provides opportunities for postsecondary students to develop vocational competencies for business occupations and business teacher education. Club activities promote a sense of civic and personal responsibility.
