    When can I buy my textbooks?
  • Students ordering via TCCSTORES.com may begin purchasing books two weeks prior to school starting.
  • Students purchasing books at Campus Stores may begin purchasing books two weeks prior to school starting.
  • Most textbooks for short-term classes are available for purchase one week before the beginning of the first scheduled class meeting.

  • Can I purchase my textbooks at any campus?
  • No. Not every campus uses the same book for the same class.
  • Internet classes: Purchase your books online at TCCSTORES.com
  • Telecourse classes: Purchase your books at tccstores.com or at the Metro Campus Store.
  • All other classes: Purchase your books at TCCSTORES.com or from the campus on which your class is held.

  • When can I sell my textbook back to the Campus Store?
  • Be sure to check out the Book Buyback page at TCCSTORES.com
  • Student textbook buyback is offered as a service to you and is conducted during finals week of a regular fall, spring, and summer semester.
  • Only books with current market value can be bought back, provided they are in good condition.
  • You may receive up to 50% of the original purchase price.
  • A wholesale book company may purchase books no longer needed by TCC, if they have current market value and are in good condition.
  • The Campus Stores have no control over publisher new editions or prices.

  • Can I purchase computer software in the Campus Store?
  • All current college or university students and employees can purchase academic computer software at a discount.
  • A valid TCC ID (or other college ID) is required at the time of purchase.
  • Academic computer software is available through TCCSTORES.com on our Software page.

  • When can I buy my books with Pell Grants or other Financial Aid?
  • You may charge books and supplies after verification of awards has been posted to your account.
  • Check with your Financial Aid Counselor or the Campus Bursar for award posting dates.

  • How do I cancel my order?
  • Orders must be canelled within twelve hours. All Cancellations must be emailed using TCCSTORES.com. Click on 'Contact Us' and select from the drop-down menu 'Cancel Order'. You must include your order number.

  • How do I refund/return an item?
  • Please check the Refund Policy at TCCSTORES.com. You may return the item(s) to any TCC Bookstore, or you may ship the item(s) back. All items being shipped must be postmarked by the appropriate date following the refund guidelines. You must enclose a copy of your TCC Purchase Packing Slip as proof of purchase. If no proof of purchase is enclosed the book will be returned to you via freight collect. Click Here for the shipping address to return items.

  • Yes. In fact, the Campus Store is a great place to work, particularly if you need to gain skills and experience in the following areas: sales, merchandising, marketing, business, accounting, computers, customer service, shipping/receiving, communications and cashiering.

  • What does Academic Price mean?
  • Many software and hardware manufacturers offer discounts to students hoping that the student will become familiar with their products. They are hoping that you will learn their products and continue to use and upgrade them for the rest of your life. All products that are marked Academic Price are the same product that you would buy from a normal retail channel, only at a discounted for sale to the academic market. Sometimes that discount is up to 70%.

  • What are "bundles"?
  • Bundles are packages that contain a textbook along with other course material that may assist a student in their studies. These additional course materials may include such items as study guides, CD-Rom software, and pass codes to textbook companion websites. Bundles are typically packaged and stored as a single unit.

  • What is the average price of a used textbook?
  • Used textbooks are typically priced at 75% of the retail price of the new book.

  • How do college stores aquire used books?
  • College stores use a variety of methods to secure used books for students. One familiar strategy for obtaining used books is through buyback events, where books are purchased from students for resale. College stores also work with textbook wholesale companies to secure additional copies of used books, or books that may not have been available during their campus' buyback.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?
  • TCCSTORES.com and each Campus Store accepts VISA, Mastercard, Discover, and Student Financial Aid. For your in-store shopping, checks are accepted with proper identification. TCC now offers a Tuition Option Plan (TOP) with the option to include your books and supplies. Please contact any campus Bursar office for current payment plan options.
