Cardiovascular Technology

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced, teamwork-based environment? Would you like to make a difference in the lives of cardiac patients on a daily basis?

Being a cardiovascular technologist can offer you that exciting opportunity! The invasive Cardiovascular Technology program at Tulsa Community College is designed to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors needed to become a successful invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT). As a CVT, you will assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions for individuals with congenital and acquired cardiac diseases. The CVT program consists of five (5) semesters and is considered a full-time program of specialized courses completed in a progressive sequence. The academic coursework is being offered at TCC’s Owasso Community Campus with clinical experiences at various sites in the Tulsa metro and surrounding area. The graduates of this program receive an Associate Degree in Applied Science and are eligible to take the national Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist exam from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
