Accreditation and Certification

The Health Information Technology Program (HIT) at Tulsa Community College is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Graduates of this program receive an Associate in Applied Science degree and are eligible to sit for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) national certification examination. Successful examination candidates are certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
