Certified Nurse Aide Training
The course is modeled upon current Oklahoma nurse aide certification training and testing and is approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Nurse Aide Registry. Students who complete the course are eligible to apply for state certification for Long-Term Care and Home Health CNA (three college credit hours).
Choice of Traditional or Online Blended Class
- Eight-week class comprised of six weeks of lecture/lab (three class meetings each week) followed by two weeks of off-campus clinical practicum (two or three times per week).
Online Blended Class
- Eight-week class comprised of one-third online coursework with one lab meeting each during the first six weeks followed by two weeks of off-campus clinical practicum (two or three times per week).
- This option requires minimum 2.5 GPA with at least 12 college credit hours already completed, previous online course work and score of 80 on the Reading and and 75 on the Writing Compass Test.
