SEC Writing Center

In the Writing Center, we focus on helping students, regardless of their writing level, improve writing, reading, and academic skills.

Whether you are a development student struggling with basic writing skills, an honors English student polishing up a conference paper, or someone in between, we want to help!  Tutoring is available to any TCC student who needs help with writing. Some of our current tutors are able to help with creative-writing assignments as well as with academic essays. We also offer a variety of Writing Skills Workshops.

Through the Writing Across the College/Writing Across the Curriculum program (WACWAC) consultation is also available to faculty members who need help with issues related to student writing, such as constructing effective writing assignments.

The Writing Center also offers desktop computers for use by any TCC student, faculty member, or staff member for class work, registration, or job searching.  Students can print for free, but everyone is limited to 10 sheets per day.  Students are encouraged to print on the front and back of each sheet.

The Writing Center has moved to the LRC (Library), building 7, #7201.  To make an appointment or get more information about tutoring, please call 918.595.7719 or stop by and see us.
