Dr. Barry Epperley

Dr. Barry Epperley, Artistic Director of the performing Arts Institute at TCC, has been the Artistic Director and conductor of the Signature Symphony (formerly the Oklahoma Sinfonia) since he founded it in 1979.  He has shared the joys of live music with both players and patrons alike through a delightful mix of classics, pops, jazz and big band works for each Concert Series.  Dr. Epperley holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Music Education from Oklahoma State University and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California.

Epperley’s experience includes working as an arranger/producer for music ensembles such as Disneyland’s Kids of the Kingdom for the Disney Corporation, serving in the White House under three administrations as conductor of the United States Army Chamber Orchestra, serving as director of the Oral Roberts University Orchestra and Chamber Singers for 18 years, and founding the Performing Arts Institute at Tulsa Community College, through which he coordinates the annual TulsaFest and other arts in education programs for the college.

**This season, 2014-2014, will be Barry's last at TCC with the Signature Symphony.  He will be retiring after the "4th on the 3rd" concert in July, 2014.**
