George Gershwin's Americana September12-13, 2014 7:30 p.m.
Considered one of the first American stars, George Gershwin created some of music history's most cherished melodies, not only in song, but also in works for orchestra. Gershwin was the first American born composer whose works entered the American Concert Hall, and he brought his jazz with him! From "Someone to Watch Over Me" to "An American in Paris", this is Americana at its best.
Conducted by Michael Rossi
