Dementia Care Foundations
The Dementia Care Foundations Course will provide you with a greater understanding of how to care for persons with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. The foundation of this course is based on the new Dementia Care Practice Recommendations published by the National Alzheimer's Association. Through a combination of innovative teaching strategies including computerized instruction, you will learn about dementia, specifically Alzheimer's disease and what causes persons with dementia to act in seemingly difficult manners. This course will cover accepting and working with behavior problem issues, handling challenges with activities of daily living, conducting multilevel activities and assisting with the use of medications. Upon completion, you will receive a Dementia Care Foundations recognized by the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter, Northeast Area Health Education Center, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Aging Division and Tulsa Community College.

Dementia Care Foundations for Administrators
The Dementia Care Foundations for Administrators provides leadership training as well as a greater understanding of how to care for persons with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. The foundation of this course is based on the new Dementia Care Practice Recommendations published by the National Alzheimer's Association. Through a combination of innovative teaching strategies including computerized instruction, you will learn about dementia, specifically Alzheimer's disease and what causes persons with dementia to act in ways that may seem difficult. This course will cover accepting and working with behavior problem issues, handling challenges with activities of daily living, conducting multilevel activities and assisting with the use of medications. Upon completion, you will receive a Dementia Care Foundations recognized by the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter, Northeast Area Health Education Center, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Aging Division and Tulsa Community College.

Dementia Care Advanced Foundations
Gain the skills you need to provide care for patients or loved ones with dementia. You will gain the knowledge needed to handle occurrences of wandering, falls, and how to provide physical restraint-free care.

Dementia End-of-Life Care
The goal of providing effective end-of-life care are to minimize physical, emotional, and spiritual distress, maximize well-being and ensure communication with resident, family, and care team. Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Dementia End-of-Life Care Foundations recognized by the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter, Northeast Area Health Education Center, the Oklahoma Separtment of Human Services Aging Division and Tulsa Community College.
