Internet classes offer the student the flexibility to take a class anytime day or night – 7 days a week.
What is involved in taking an online (Internet) class?
  •  The class is accessed through the Internet from home, work, or TCC computer lab.
  •  The course web site is called Blackboard.
  •  Instruction is provided via the Web, CD-ROM (if applicable), and textbook materials.
  •  Assignments are posted on the Blackboard course site.
  •  Students submit assignments to the Blackboard course site, or e-mail the assignments electronically.
  •  Students communicate with instructors/classmates via e-mail,  group-threaded discussion or live chat..
  •  Exams are taken on campus, at an approved testing site, or over the Internet (depending upon the course you are enrolled in).
What do students need in order to take an online class?
  •  Internet access (from home, work, or TCC computer lab)
  •  a valid email address
  •  hardware and software that meets the minimum requirements 
    (specific courses may have additional requirements)
Students must take an Internet Orientation to the class prior to beginning their Internet class.
