By 2014, almost 40% of employees in aviation and aerospace businesses will be eligible for retirement. This will fuel the growing skilled-labor gap among the industries. Tulsa Community College is one of a few select colleges offering training to fill these careers via the National Aviation Consortium (NAV).

The NAC at TCC is bridging the gap between manufacturers and workers by providing curriculum for today’s jobs and providing relevant training for unfilled positions.

A $15 million grant was awarded to NAC as part of the U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training initiative. NAC includes colleges in Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Washington.

Classes are now enrolling. For more information, contact Don Freeland, NAC Director, Room 1215A, at the TCC Northeast Campus, 3727 E. Apache St., Tulsa, OK 74115. Or, call Freeland at 918-595-7413.
