Come join us as we celebrate GIS Day 2011! Learn about Geographic Information Systems and how they are being used in your community. Network with others working in the geospatial community and learn about TCC's GIS Certificate program.
Who should attend? People of all ages interested in learning more about geography and the technology of GIS! It's Free so come on by and see what GIS is all about!
A GIS, or geographic information system, represents computer software, data, and solutions that are used by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide in government, education, and business. The goal of GIS Day is to help educate adults and children about how geography makes a difference in our lives through the technology of GIS.
GIS Day is sponsored by the National Geographic Society, the Association of American Geographers, UCGIS (University Consortium of Geographic Information Science), United States Geological Survey, The Library of Congress, Sun Microsystems, and ESRI.
