Born and raised in Oklahoma, I developed a love for languages early in life, as my parents surrounded me with people from other cultures. As I grew, I was fascinated by Spanish, its lyrical sounds and mysterious words. Speaking with my Peruvian godmother, I achieved fluency. I traveled and realized the language was a practical tool! Now, I spend time in Nicaragua, Mexico and other areas as often as I can, never regretting my decision to study other languages. I've taught at TCC since 1984.
