I have taught English at TCC since 2009. Before that, I spent ten years at OCCC and three years at Muscatine Community College up in Iowa, where I'm from. I return to Iowa every July to join 10,000 other bicyclists on RAGBRAI, a week-long ride across the state. I enjoy asking questions of the famous people who cross my path--in no particular order, Gloria Steinem, Edward Albee, Woodward and Bernstein, Ira Shor, Paula Poundstone, and more. My two children are the coolest people I know.

Courses Taught

I teach the full range of English courses from basic writing courses to Honors literature. My composition courses often focus on popular culture and pop music.
