I was the Instructional Specialist at TCC's WC Writing Center from 2007 until summer 2016, when I accepted an Assistant Professor of English position at Northeast Campus, which is my dream job. Additionally, my husband, Gary, and I have been married for 34 years and we have one daughter, Rachel, who is 25. I enjoy reading, movies, music, and art. I hate all forms of travel, but love being in new places, and visited New York City for the first time in 2014.

Courses Taught

I teach Comp I and Comp II, and have taught at TCC since 2007. I also taught Intro to College Writing and Exposition and Argument at the University of Tulsa in 2005 and 2006.

  • M.A. English Language and Literature, University of Tulsa, 2006
  • B.A. English, University of Tulsa, 2004
  • A.A. English, Tulsa Community College, 2001

Research Interests

Currently, I am not actively involved in any specific new research; however, I am revising two essays - one on Joanna Southcott and one on Derek Walcott and V.S. Naipaul - for journal submission. Otherwise, I have an abiding interest in Contemporary American Lit, Samuel Beckett, and William Blake, to name a few
