Born in Tulsa, I attended Chouteau Elementary, Twin Cities Elementary, Central Jr. High, and Charles Page High School, and graduated from Tahlequah High School. After working for 13 year, I decided to attend college to become a Pharmacist. I changed my major several times before deciding on English. Using this education, I have taught and tutored at TCC for 9 years. I have no children, but I do have a wonderful boyfriend and animals. I am currently working on my EdD in Curriculum & Instruction.

Research Interests

With my EdD, I have been researching topics related to action research of community colleges and writing center improvement. One area that interested me was multiculturalism in the classroom. As instructors, we see many different cultures through our students. As a continuing education option, we could study the education, learning styles, attitudes, and student involvement in the classrooms to help us better address and understand our students and their history of learning.
