Complaints and Grievances

 

Complaints:

Students who have concerns about the manner in which faculty/staff have responded to accommodation requests should contact the appropriate disability resource office. Appropriate staff will engage the student and other stakeholders in an interactive process to generate possible solutions. At any time the student can request a review by the Education Access Center Director. Students will receive a reply within ten (10) business days.

 

If the complaint is not resolved:

The student can make a formal typed-written complaint to the ADA Compliance Officer for Student Accommodations located at:

Formal complaints should contain:

1. Student First and Last names.

2. TCC ID number

3. Date

4. Complaint

5. Requested resolution

6. Signature of student

 

Grievances:

Individuals who believe they have been discriminated against on the basis of disability should file a complaint with the TCC Director of Civil Rights Compliance. Complaints of discrimination received by the ADA Compliance Officer will be forwarded directly to the college Director of Civil Rights Compliance.
