AHLAN WA SAHLAN! (Welcome!)
Arabic is spoken by approximately 1/5 of the world population. Arab-speaking countries cover a huge geographical area spreading from the Atlantic through all of North Africa and most of the Middle East. Arab-speaking delegates constitute 1/7 of the United Nations Assembly and their immense wealth influences the world economy on a daily basis. The Arab culture continues to enrich the religion, philosophy, literature, education, linguistics, astronomy, architecture, and medicine of the Western world.
