Foreign Language Credit by Advanced Standing
Tulsa Community College offers advanced standing tests in several foreign languages. Please visit with your academic advisor/counselor or one of the campus Testing Centers regarding your interest in taking these exams.
To register for one or more of the departmental exams, the student must complete a registration form in person, along with a payment of $5 per credit hour for the exam(s). Once this is accomplished, the advisor or testing staff member will provide the appropriate name, e-mail address, and phone number to schedule an appointment for the test(s). Students must bring a valid photo ID and their paid receipts to the testing appointment.
Once the test is administered and graded, the results will be forwarded to the appropriate individual to have the credits placed on the student's transcript.
Note: If the student passes the exam and they have earned at least 12 college-level credit hours at TCC, the credit will be reflected on their transcript within two to three days. However, if a student passes, but has not earned 12 college-level credit hours at TCC, the credit will not be posted to the TCC transcript until the 12 hours are completed. If a student fails the exam, the scores will not be reflected on the students transcript.
