YOU MAY APPLY ONLINE, BUT YOU MUST REGISTER FOR A SPECIFIC TEST DATE IN PERSON.  Each person registering for this exam must bring a photo ID with signature (i.e., driver's license, passport, etc.) and the appropriate registration fee (see above). A copy of the photo will be made and kept on file in the Testing Center.

  • If the GED candidate is 16 or 17 years of age, there is an "Age Agreement Form" that must be completed (signed and notorized) by appropriate individuals and brought with the candidate to register to take the GED.  Please contact the NEC Testing Center and the form may be mailed or picked up in person.
  • If the GED candidate wants to retest but has taken the GED in another state, an official/original copy of the GED transcript (scores) must be brought to the NEC Testing Center when registering for the exam.

IMPORTANT!  You must register in person approximately 4 weeks in advance of the testing date in which you want to test.
