For Gabriel Weathers, TCC is the bridge to a career that he sees as a source of both income and personal fulfillment.
The Charles Page High School graduate is enrolled in the pre-nursing program at TCC and attends classes at Metro Campus. He says TCC is a match for his ambitions to become a registered nurse.
“I want to become a nurse mostly because I like helping people,” Gabriel said. “Male nurses are in demand and get paid well in the field.”
He said assistance from staff in the School of Health Sciences makes it easy to prepare for success at TCC and in further education.
“They can tell you pretty much everything you need to go through,” he said. “They’ll line up everything you need to do to transfer to a four-year university or continue in the Nursing program here.”
