Nursing Smart Start Orientation
Fall 2021 Sessions
Registration for the Fall 2021 Nursing Smart Start program is now open! The live events this fall will be presented as Zoom webinars that will be interactive with opportunities for real-time Q&A. The dates for the events and their respective signup links are below:
Students with a declared Nursing Applicant major are required to attend and will have a hold placed on their account that prevents enrollment until the orientation requirement is completed. If a student is unable to attend one of the live events, there will be a self-paced online version of the orientation available through this webpage that will be posted after the live webinar events conclude. Nursing Applicant majors only need to complete Nursing Smart Start once, so anyone who previously had the hold removed is exempt and does not need to attend again.
You can expect to hear about the following from Nursing professionals and College staff:
- Essential functions in the registered nurse occupation
- Drug testing
- Academic and professional ethics
- Immunization requirements
- Clinical course completion
- Student support services at TCC, such as career services, academic advising, wellness services, etc.
You will also have question and answer time with our faculty and staff.
For additional information, please schedule an appointment with your assigned academic advisor.
