OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS: Please Touch the Art

DEADLINE: Monday, July 15, 10 am CT. Submit up to three artworks for possible inclusion in the popular exhibition “Please Touch the Art” at the McKeon Center for Creativity in downtown Tulsa. The exhibition will engage all five senses, with a focus on visitors who are blind or visually impaired, TPS students, and anyone who wants to experience art in new and exciting ways. Artworks in all media will be considered, with strong preference given to works that engage touch, sound, smell, taste, and/or include participatory elements. Do not submit work that cannot be touched. Proposals for new work or works-in-progress will also be considered. Artists selected for the exhibition will be paid a $150 honorarium after the artwork is delivered, and artwork may be offered for sale with no commission assessed. Exhibition is at the artist’s own risk. The deadline is Monday, July 15 at 10 am Central Time, and the exhibition will be on display from September 3 – October 31.
