    Call for Artists Now Open: Please Touch the Art

    Artists are invited to submit to the popular exhibition "Please Touch the Art" at the McKeon Center for Creativity. The exhibit will run from Sept. 2 to Oct. 31, with an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 - 7 pm. Proposals for artworks that engage all five senses, especially those that can be touched, are due by Monday, July 7 at 8:30 am CT.

    Experience the joy of “painting” with colored pencils and Turpenoid, a non-toxic, odorless chemical. Create magical, whimsical colors and textures by blending and layering using Prismacolor colored pencils and Turpenoid!

  3. I Can't Play Harmonica with Bob Dylan Center: June 21

    Led by artist, Dave Berntson, who has played blues harmonica for over 30 years, participants will learn the basic techniques of the soulful sounds of the harmonica. You’ll walk away knowing how to play the major scale and a train boogie-woogie. Participants will receive their own harmonica and instructions on how to continue their musical journey.

    Learn about the booming film scene in Tulsa, the behind-the-scenes of Tulsa-based productions like the Emmy-nominated show Reservation Dogs, and how to get started locally—whether it’s acting, writing, camera work, or production, this workshop helps you find your place in film.

  5. I Can't Dry Flowers with Tulsa Garden Center: June 28

    Participants will make a rustic wall hanging using small tree branches and seasonal herbs and flowers. The wall hanging will be a practical place to dry fresh plant material while also providing an eye-catching display.
