This is your opportunity to get back in the cockpit as the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association holds a Rusty Pilots seminar on Saturday, August 12 in partnership with the Tulsa Community College Riverside Community Campus and Aviation Center.

The Rusty Pilots seminar helps pilots, who are in need of a Flight Review, get re-engaged and back in the skies. The seminar provides a pilot with three hours of ground instruction, which includes knowledge of new procedures and regulations, valuable take-home materials, and handouts so they can prepare for their Flight Review. Plus, it is an opportunity to enhance education, improve proficiency, and network with local pilots.

“This seminar gives all pilots, regardless of current status, a chance to stay up-to-date on the best safety practices and issues in aviation,” said Matt Wise, Director of the Aviation Center at TCC. “This is about providing a learning opportunity for our students as well as experienced pilots and supporting Oklahoma’s strong aviation community.”

The Rusty Pilots seminar is free to AOPA members. AOPA is one of the biggest organizations supporting aviation in the United States. If you are not an AOPA member, you can join the organization for $69 and attend the seminar for free. If you choose not to join, the seminar fee is $69. Registration is available online.

“We have partnered with AOPA because this event helps further strengthen the bond between fellow aviators, TCC, and the greater Tulsa community,” said Austin T. Walden, TCC Assistant Professor in Aviation Sciences.

The Rusty Pilots seminar is 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., Saturday, August 12. The TCC Riverside Community Campus and Aviation Center is located at 112 W. Beechcraft Drive in Tulsa at the Richard Lloyd Jones Jr. Airport.
