Since chemistry deals with the composition, structure and interactions of matter, the study of chemistry is basic to all sciences. This degree prepares the student to enter the health sciences and other medical fields such as nursing, pre-med, and medical laboratory technology. This degree also prepares the student to enter programs in aerospace, agriculture, biology, engineering, environmental science, and petroleum engineering.
