Tulsa Community College will welcome acclaimed CBS News correspondent, humorist and TV personality Mo Rocca as part of its 2024-26 Common Book program, presented by the TCC Foundation and George Kaiser Family Foundation. “A Conversation with Mo Rocca” will take place on April 10 at 7 p.m. at the VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education on TCC’s Southeast Campus and is free for current TCC students and employees. Tickets for the general public will be $10 and go on sale starting Feb. 18.
Known for his engaging storytelling and sharp wit, Rocca is currently a correspondent on “CBS Sunday Morning.” He’s the host of “The Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation” on CBS and “My Grandmother’s Ravioli” on the Cooking Channel, hosts the hit podcast “Mobituaries” and is a frequent panelist on NPR’s “Wait, Wait … Don’t Tell Me!”. Rocca is the author of several books, including “Roctogenarians: Late in Life Debuts, Comebacks, and Triumphs,” “Mobituaries: Great Lives Worth Reliving” and “All the Presidents’ Pets: The Story of One Reporter Who Refused to Roll Over.”
“We are excited to bring this event to our community. Mo Rocca’s curiosity parallels with our 2024-26 Common Book, ‘I Never Thought of it That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times’ by Mónica Guzmán, which offers a perspective of seeing the world through someone else’s eyes,” says TCC Librarian Marianne Myers.
Tickets for “A Conversation with Mo Rocca” are $10 each and go on sale to the general public Feb. 18. The event will take place on April 10 at 7 p.m. at TCC Southeast’s VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at 10300 E 81st St, Tulsa, OK 74133.
