TCC Students Prepare Float for MLK Jr. Parade
Students and staff at Tulsa Community College are putting the final touches on the float for the 2017 Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Tulsa. Volunteers will gather indoors from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 at the TCC Northeast Campus Carpenter Shop to work on the float. The 2017 parade theme is “Love Conquers Hate.”

Beach, Sand and Shakespeare Combine in TCC’s Updated Production of “Two Gentlemen of Verona”
The production of “Two Gentlemen of Verona” by the Tulsa Community College Theatre Department is far removed from your typical Shakespearian play. This modern updated version is more like the 1965 movie, “Beach Blanket Bingo” and takes place on a pier with a beach setting complete with shorts, leis and coconuts. Even the language is updated on this light-hearted comedy where true love ultimately prevails through deception, lust and youthful ignorance.

Signature Symphony at TCC Dances Across the Continents
Signature Symphony at Tulsa Community College is “Dancing Across the Continents” with an evening of music from composers Antonín Dvořák, Samuel Ekpe Akpabot, and Adolfo Mejía and dancing from members of the Tulsa Ballet and Tulsa Ballet II. The concert is 7:30 p.m., Nov. 12 at the TCC Southeast Campus VanTrease Performing Arts Center for Education at 81st Street and Highway 169.
