Non-Oklahoma Residents Admission of First-time Entering Freshmen

Non-Oklahoma residents who wish to be eligible for admission to any institution in the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a graduate of a high school accredited by the appropriate regional association or an appropriate accrediting agency in their home state.
2. Participate in the ACT or an acceptable battery of tests.
3. Meet the high school curricular requirements.

Admission of Undergraduate Students Entering by Transfer from Out-of-State College or University

Undergraduate students transferring from out-of-state colleges or universities to TCC can do so under the following conditions:

1. Transcripts from colleges or universities accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) will be fully recognized. The applicant must be in good standing, have made satisfactory progress, and meet the high school curricular requirements.
2. Transcripts from degree-granting institutions accredited by organizations other than the HLC and recognized by the US Department of Education may transfer on a course-by-course basis. The same conditions apply as for HLC accredited institutions, and students may need to validate transferred credits by making satisfactory progress for at least one term.
3. Students transferring from non-accredited institutions can request a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) of their record by visiting any Academic Advisor.
