New Student Orientation - Requirements

We can’t wait to meet you and officially welcome you to TCC!

We've lined up a few steps to ensure your easy, successful transition:

Certain requirements must be completed prior to registering for New Student Orientation and enrolling in classes:

1 Apply for admission
New Student Orientation is for first time college students and students transferring in less than 7 credit hours.
2 Have test scores

You must have ACT scores of 19 or higher in Reading/English and 20 or higher in Math or SAT scores of 480 in English and 530 in Math. If you do not have ACT or SAT scores or they’re below our requirements in any of these subject areas, you can come to TCC and take our College Placement Test instead. It’s free! Visit Academic Advising at any campus for placement test referral. If you graduated from an accredited high school, placement test scores can be used; ACT/SAT scores are not required.

If you will take placement test, plan ahead! The Math Accuplacer test CANNOT be taken on the same day as any other placement test.

3 Your CWID (college-wide ID)
Your CWID is your TCC ID number (it starts with a T). You will need to know your CWID along with your Password, to log on to MyTCC to enroll in classes, check your Financial Aid Dashboard, and access your email.
