About the Music Degree

Music Program Details
TCC offers seamless transfer pathways to four-year colleges and universities across the region, helping you stay on track toward a bachelor's degree in music education, music therapy, performance, or business.
You’ll learn in a high-quality facility at the Vantrease Performing Arts Center for Education (PACE) on our Southeast Campus. Here, you can take advantage of rehearsal and performance spaces, a recording studio, and a music tech lab.
Scholarships, private lessons, ensemble participation, and internships provide students with real-world experience while keeping costs low. Whether you're pursuing music professionally or just want to keep music in your life, TCC is a great place to start.
After successfully completing this program, you will have the ability to:
- Perform music from a variety of styles and historic periods.
- Communicate about music as it relates to cultural history, theory, and performance practice.
- Interpret music as experienced both as a performer and listener.
- Analyze musical structures from the common practice period through the early 20th century.
- Construct musical structures from the common practice period through the early 20th century.
