Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Coaching & Programming
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office includes Academic Success Coaching, Peer Study Groups & Advocacy, Summer & Fall Bridge Programs, support for Student Organizations, Students Who Are Parents, African American Male Success Team, along with Equity Grants - all couched under the umbrella of Culturally Responsive Practices.
- Inclusion is involvement and empowerment where the inherent worth and dignity of all people are recognized. We strive to promote and sustain a sense of belonging. Respect for the talents, beliefs, backgrounds, and ways of living are primary values and practices of our institution.
- Regardless of a student’s socioeconomic status, creed, ability, marital status, race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, political affiliation, or sexual orientation at some point in a student’s academic career they might need assistance outside of the normal realm of what is perceived to be in student services.
