Before New Student Orientation

Please complete all of the following requirements before starting New Student Orientation.

1. Complete Application

Certain requirements must be completed prior to registering for New Student Orientation and enrolling in classes.

  1. Apply for admission.
    New Student Orientation is for first-time college students and students transferring in less than seven credit hours.
  2. Have Test Scores.
    Submit ACT or SAT scores and take any required course placement exams. If you do not have ACT or SAT scores or if they’re below our requirements for college-level courses, you can come to TCC and take our College Placement Test instead. It’s free! Visit Academic Advising at any campus for placement test referral. If you were a homeschooled student you must submit ACT or SAT scores before taking a placement exam. If you will take the placement test, plan ahead! The Math Accuplacer test CAN NOT be taken on the same day as any other placement test.
  3. Your CWID (college-wide ID).
    Your CWID is your TCC ID number (it starts with a T). You will need to know your CWID along with your Password, to log on to MyTCC to enroll in classes, check your MyTCC Financial Aid Dashboard, and access your TCC email.

2. Submit Test Scores

You need test scores before starting New Student Orientation.

  • Submit ACT or SAT scores if you have taken them. Homeschool students are required to take the ACT, SAT, or TCC Course Placement Test.
  • Depending on your ACT or SAT scores you may be required to take our Course Placement Test. If you do not have ACT or SAT scores, take our Course Placement Test. This placement test is free and not timed.
  • Your high school GPA can also be used to determine your placement in courses. We suggest submitting your most recent transcript.

How to submit your transcript

You can submit your high school transcript or GED by contacting the institution you attended and requesting they send it to We can also accept them via XAP, Parchment, or postal mail. Note: Transcripts that are emailed must come directly from the institution. We are not able to accept emailed transcripts from the student/family.

How to submit ACT or SAT scores (if you have taken them)

If you have taken the ACT or SAT and have not submitted your ACT or SAT scores to TCC, we suggest taking a picture of your scores and sending them to You can submit pictures by taking a screenshot from the official ACT/SAT website OR taking a picture of your official score report ACT/SAT sent via mail. Note: make sure your name, test date, and all scores are visible in the photo.

3. Plan for Payment

Before coming to New Student Orientation, you will need to know how you plan to pay for your classes.

TCC is a great value. Our tuition and fees are among the lowest in the entire region, so while you will experience dynamic faculty, caring staff, and terrific student organizations, you’ll also save money. Your scholarships, grants, and other financial aid support will go further here.

Once you choose your classes and create your schedule, you will have one week to secure your payment and keep those classes on your schedule. If you enroll after August 1, you will have 24 hours to secure your payment.

Don’t worry—we’re here to help. You have several options when it comes to paying for your classes. One of the following is necessary within one week (or 24 hours after August 1) of enrolling to hold your classes:

  1. Complete the FAFSA.
    TCC must receive your FAFSA information from the U.S. Department of Education. This generally takes 3-4 working days after you submit the FAFSA. Be sure to watch your email and submit any requested documentation. We cannot provide financial aid if you do not submit the requested documents. Remember, if you are receiving Oklahoma’s Promise or Tulsa Achieves you must complete the FAFSA. Learn more about completing the FAFSA.
  2. Enroll in an Interest-Free Payment Plan.
    TCC has several payment plans that help spread the cost of college over several months. There is a $35 enrollment service fee if you choose to set up a payment plan with a credit card or a bank account. Learn more about payment methods.
  3. Third-Party Payments.
    If you have a Tribal Grant, Veterans’ Benefits, or Voc Rehab, be sure and let us know so we can hold your enrollment. If you will be using outside scholarships, employer reimbursement, or another type of third-party payment, you will need to provide documentation to our Bursar office before you enroll in your classes.
  4. Pay in Full.
    You can pay the entire amount of your tuition and fees at the time you enroll. You will have one week (24 hours when enrollment occurs after May 1 for summer classes or August 1 for fall classes) to pay your account.
