Campus COVID-19 Protocols for Students

Campus Entry Points

Temperature Check Guidelines

  • TCC will deploy thermal scanning at primary entry points on campus to capture heat signatures from those entering.
  • Students with elevated temperatures (100.4 degrees or higher) should stay/go home and not return for at least 72 hours.
  • Students who experience symptoms or an elevated temperature while on campus, should contact the TCC Police Department at 918-595-8888.

Masks and Face Coverings

  • ALL individuals on campus shall wear cloth face coverings, which must cover, at a minimum, nose and mouth. Face coverings should be worn at all times during classes held on campus.
  • Masks with exhalation valves/vents and neck gaiters are not allowed.

Social Distancing

  • Social Distancing refers to keeping a physical distance of at least six feet between individuals.
  • This is one of the most effective methods of avoiding infection and reducing the spread of COVID-19.
  • When social distancing of at least six feet is not possible in an indoor or outdoor public setting, common area, or shared space, a face covering must be worn.

Travel Restrictions & Reporting

  • Personal travel out of state or country is strongly discouraged and should be reported to your instructor and emailed to PublicHealth@tulsacc.edu 48 hours prior to travel and may or may not result in an order to self-quarantine for at least 14 days.

Testing, Isolation, and Contact Tracing

  • Positive Tests – If an employee or student tests positive for COVID-19, the College will cooperate with the Tulsa Health Department in its contact tracing efforts.
  • Confirmed Exposures – Students who were exposed to laboratory confirmed COVID-19 positive individuals are expected to notify TCC by emailing PublicHealth@tulsacc.edu and to follow all directions provided by the Tulsa Health Department.
