High School Counselor Admission Guide
TCC’s guide for high school counselors includes admission steps, key dates, scholarships, and program options to support students through the college process.
Welcome, high school counselors! We’ve compiled the High School Counselors Admission Guide, bringing together all the resources for helping your students discover everything about TCC. If you don’t see something you need, just ask us.

Admission to TCC
Step 1: Apply to TCC
- Complete your application
- Check your personal email to receive your Student ID and password.
- Log in to MyTCC and start checking your TCC email. Check it often!
Step 2: Make it Official
Submit your official documents:
- Final high school transcript or high school equivalency exam (GED, HiSET, TASC)
- College transcripts (if you have attended anywhere else)
- ACT, SAT (send directly to our Office of Records at records@tulsacc.edu), and/or Course Placement Test Scores (course placement tests can be taken for free at TCC Testing Services)
Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to automatically apply for grants. This form is also required for loans and most other scholarships and awards – including Tulsa Achieves. TCC’s school code is 009763.
- Learn more about financial aid opportunities
- Apply for scholarships @ Tulsacc.edu/Scholarships
- Submit the Tulsa Achieves agreement form, if eligible.
- Check your MyTCC > Financial Aid Dashboard for any missing documents and accept or decline your award offer.
Step 4: Attend New Student Orientation
Register for and attend New Student Orientation, mandatory for all first-time degree-seeking students, where you’ll…
- See our campuses and learn how college works.
- Meet with an Academic Advisor to finalize course selection.
- Enroll in classes
- Establish a payment plan for coursework within seven days of enrolling. If you choose “do not set up payment arrangement”, you will be dropped from your course(s). You will have 48 hours to secure payment for enrollments made on or after:
- May 1 for Summer
- August 1 for Fall
- January 1 for Spring

Honors Program
Our Honors Program gives curious, motivated students an exciting option for satisfying their degree requirements. Honors classes offer smaller class sizes that provide close contact with professors and other success-focused students.
Honors classes also:
- Qualify students to receive tuition waivers
- Help prepare students for transfer to a four-year university
- Enhance your resume
- Increase chances for scholarships
