CLEP Exams
CLEP exams at TCC allow students to earn college credit through exams. Pre-registration and payment are required. Testing is available at Northeast Campus.
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a widely accepted credit-by-exam program in the United States. CLEP exams allow a person to demonstrate knowledge that has been acquired through independent study, academic interests, or on-the-job training.
This service is available to our students and the community. Each college sets its own policy regarding how much credit and for which courses credit will be given. Before registering for a CLEP exam, it is the examinee's responsibility to find out the following information:
- Does the college or university you are reporting the scores to recognize CLEP exams?
- What score is needed to receive credit(s) at the institution you are reporting your score?
- Are there additional requirements before credit is granted at the receiving institution?
CLEP testing through TCC is only available at the Northeast Campus Testing Center.
