Try Out a Career While Earning College Credit.

High school is about more than just graduation—it's about discovery. At TCC, our Career Cluster Pathways allow you to explore different career fields while simultaneously completing your General Education requirements.

You don't have to choose between momentum and exploration. With our specialized pathways, you can build a solid academic foundation and find your dream career, all before you graduate high school.

What are TCC Career Cluster Pathways?

Career pathways at TCC help you, as a high school student, explore what’s possible without locking you into a single career choice. Each pathway groups related professions that share common interests, skills, and knowledge. That way, you have the flexibility to discover the right fit while building momentum toward your future.

Check out our Pathways:

How do Career Cluster Pathways work?

Our pathways are designed to help you determine what courses to take first when exploring one of our career fields. To do this, we have divided our courses into the following three categories:

  • Oklahoma General Education Core — These courses are required for all bachelor's degrees and transfer to other colleges and universities.
  • Career Field Core — These are your "test-drive" courses. They are common across entire career fields, meaning you can explore different interests within that field (like Business or STEM) without committing to a specific major yet.
  • Career Field Program Courses — These are courses specific to your program. Once you’ve found your passion and feel confident in your direction, you can dive deep into your chosen degree or certificate with these courses.

How are Career Cluster Pathways different from picking a major?

Career Pathways help you explore your interests while keeping your options open. Instead of choosing a single degree or certificate right away, you’ll take connected courses that introduce you to multiple careers within a field. That way, you can discover what excites you while building real momentum toward your future.

Can I change my mind after I choose?

Yes, and that's the beauty of it. You're still in high school; your interests will probably change. Our 'First Look' courses are designed to count toward any degree in that field. So, say you want to switch from Accounting to Marketing, you won't lose a single credit because they both live in the Business Pathway.
